Actually, Ii have never used those knobs. I think i have been using them for about 10 years +/-.
There have been situations where the contact to wood end wanted to rise up. In those instances, i have use blocking of some kind to eliminate the problem. Other times, i have worked out a way to clamp the end down. It was always quicker to do either/or than to go to drawer and bring out a knob or two to hold the clamp down.
