Question about SYS-AZ drawers

I am in the planing phase of building my own SYS Port style storage units, but they will be built-ins. Since they are going to be in a shop environment with shared space, they need to be lockable. The SYS-AZ drawers are indeed lockable with the accessory locks. My question is " can I order the locks with specific keying?" Meaning, can I get several of them "all the same", then later get more of that same key number?

My understanding was that *all* the SYS-AZ keys are the same anyway, albeit different to the SYS-PORT keys.

Maybe [member=57769]TylerC[/member] can confirm?

I don't believe that different keying is possible, but I'll double check for you. I'll try to have an answer by tomorrow.

I just double checked this. We cannot supply different keys for this. Sorry.

Whilst the Festool ones are all 'keyed alike', Festool don't make the locks. They buy them in, it's a pretty standard locking arrangement.

I would suggest you purchase one of the Festool ones, and then take it to a decent lock specialist/hardware store (not a big box store!) and ask them. They probably won't have them in stock, but should be able to order them in for you.

The Festool locks for the SYS-AZ drawers are made by Euro-locks Belgium.
You can see the name on the picture below.
I don't think it's a unique product and you can buy other locks with different keys from Euro-Locks itself or a supplier.

[member=7673]neeleman[/member] is correct - when I checked before, the closest model is the C330 but it looks like a custom cam length on the Festool ones at 20mm. However, because it is shorter than most cams, I would guess you could file it down to fit quite easily. The C330 definitely matches the dimensions of the Festool SYS-AZ lock I have.

Speaking from my practices as a locksmith (among other things), a good locksmith should stock camlocks in various depths and should have one that works.
