Howdy Folks,
For those of you in say Australia and Europe who already have access to the TS 60, how is the cutting ability compared to the older saws? The current and previous TS 55 saws have been rated at 10 amps at 120V. The TS 75 is rated at a bit over 13 amps at 120V and the only data I could find on the TS 60 rates it at 13 amps. The reason I am asking what is probably a subjective question is this. To me with my old 2.2mm blade TS 55 it feels underpowered (especially with dirty blades) for ripping say the edge of a 1.5" pine door but it does fine for sheet goods. The newer TS 55 with thinner kerf blades is better but still not optimal in my experience. The TS 75, mine is thirteen years old, has more power but sometimes is challenged for single cuts in say a 2.5" slab, which I do clamped with multiple passes. How much difference does the brushless motor combined with the thinner kerf blades make? We will not have any at the store for demos before June 21 so I'd love some advanced input from folks outside NA, and I do realize that the input voltage (230 v 120) makes a difference but it still is a request for an apples to apples comparison. Thanks in advance and have a sublime June.

The only things I can add are these thoughts- Blade type/tooth pattern makes a BIG difference with both my TS 75, and my old ATF 55. Blade/Kerf thickness on either of these saws matters too, but for Rip cuts ,or deep cuts in solid wood versus a Ply/sheet stock, getting the right blade was a game changer for me in terms of performance.  I have never used the older TS/ATF 65 for a comparison.
But maybe the TS 60 will be somewhere in between the now long gone ATF65 and the current TS 75 for most users?
I would think a Brushless motor translates into more power for you to use.

Not only blade type but also cleanliness of blades. As an aside, when using the panther blades, IME, one must use the larger outside hose connection on the TS 75 to prevent the long chips from clogging the dust extraction at the connector. I always use the rip blade, even for "rip" cuts on plywood  (grain of veneer) and use the combination blade any time I am doing crosscuts. The difference in load that those extra teeth in the cut cause is, IME, very significant. My hope is that the power differential at the blade between a brushless vs a brushed motor will be significant. One other question relates to the maximum speed of the blade in the TS 60. The max speed unloaded is 6800RPM vs 5800RPM for the TS 55 and 4400RPM for the TS 75. For anybody who already has a TS 60, do you experience any more tendency to burn work if one has an improper feed rate on woods like cherry?

Keep in mind that the TS60 now has less teeth as well.

"Old" TS 55 R was 2.2mm, 1200W brushed, 48T for the cross-cutting blade.

The TS 60 is 1.8, roughly 1500 equiv, 42T.

That gives 22% from thinner blade, 20% from a stronger motor (possibly more) and 14% from less teeth. In total, that is 67%-ish aka 2/3 better between a TS 55 R and TS 60 K and 90% better compared to ATF 55 with the 2.5 blade.

You are already using 28T for cross cuts so it is "only" 50% or so better between TS 60K and TS 55R.

Just from the math, the TS 60 K should be able to go through material faster than a TS 75 does (with the 2.5mm blades). On par with the MT 55c.
