Howdy Folks,
For those of you in say Australia and Europe who already have access to the TS 60, how is the cutting ability compared to the older saws? The current and previous TS 55 saws have been rated at 10 amps at 120V. The TS 75 is rated at a bit over 13 amps at 120V and the only data I could find on the TS 60 rates it at 13 amps. The reason I am asking what is probably a subjective question is this. To me with my old 2.2mm blade TS 55 it feels underpowered (especially with dirty blades) for ripping say the edge of a 1.5" pine door but it does fine for sheet goods. The newer TS 55 with thinner kerf blades is better but still not optimal in my experience. The TS 75, mine is thirteen years old, has more power but sometimes is challenged for single cuts in say a 2.5" slab, which I do clamped with multiple passes. How much difference does the brushless motor combined with the thinner kerf blades make? We will not have any at the store for demos before June 21 so I'd love some advanced input from folks outside NA, and I do realize that the input voltage (230 v 120) makes a difference but it still is a request for an apples to apples comparison. Thanks in advance and have a sublime June. [cool]
