I have recently purchased ALOT of Festools, including the conturo, all at authorized dealers locally and on the net. Most from my local dealers as I believe in supporting brick and mortar establishments that take the time to show me the tools.  Most of them i have not yet registered.
My question, this does not effect the warranty, correct?

Willy's advice is sound. Most dealers, I think, register the tools for their customers but not all. It never hurts to register them yourself and there are sometimes perks that come with it.

Are you telling me I have to register my recent purchases. ??? I'll have to take a vacation to get it done.

It surprised me that one of the Atlanta Festool dealers registers for customers and one doesn't. I buy from the one that does.

Highland Woodworking has registered the many Festool products that I've bought from them. It is a fine store with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
