Had a little go of the kaizen foam for my non festool tools, just to get things more organised.
The kreg tool sys will have a kreg face clamp added at the top
Both in sys-2's, need the space in the bostitch sys for air hose placed on top. [attachimg=2][attachimg=1]

Good job!  Nice and neat.  Did you have any trouble getting the layers separated after you cut into it?

Thanks, Mike A.

How did you trim the Kaizen Foam to fit the Systainer interior so neatly?

That's what I was wondering also - I've been trying to use templates and such but I can't
really get the nice fit that I see with your effort - any suggestions appreciated!

Here's one of my small efforts - some scrap Kaizen of course but it still does not measure up  [embarassed]

Easy.  If you have other Festool tools, in a T-Loc or Classic.  Just remove the insert from a tool, like the TS55, and use it as a template.  Trace around the insert with a marker.  Cut along the outside of the line.  It will give you a nice tight fit.

Not as easy as it sounds. [embarassed] There was some one on e-bay that sold pre-cut Kaizen foam inserts.

Hi Mike, The layers don't come apart as good as I would have liked but spend a little more time when removing them and you should get  good enough finish, I kinda did rush towards the end.

I used the black plastic insert from the screw box sys

im probably not the first person to suggest this but i use a multitool on low speed to peel out layers, works great, then get rid of the fuzzys with a heat gun on a low setting VERY CAREFULLY in quick waves

Exactly how do you use the Dremel? I have a bugger if a time getting the foam out and leaving a neat level bottom.

Not a Dremel a multi tool, I have the fien multimaster plug in version but I normally just reach for my small cordless Milwaukee 9.6 for that task

Oh!  [doh]

So you cut the bottom of the foam with the multitool also? Never occurred to me.
