R32 Edge Guides (485758) Question

I just purchase two LR32 Edge Guides (485758) which arrived today.  They are plastic although the latest product images show an aluminum version.  I would be interested if the latest version are aluminum?  Or is this product image just wrong.  I already own a set of the plastic edge stop which are hard to read and was hoping the latest versions in all aluminum were easier to read the scale.

Thanks in advance

Usually the newer product uses more plastic as things are redesigned for (among other things, but often mainly) costs. Improvements in plastics also means it can be reliably used for more and more applications.

For my market the dealers use the old picture with the metal part while Festool itself shows a photo with the plastic part. Seems to me Festool has done a nice upgrade of it's photo database, so I would count on the plastic part being the one that is in production.

You might be able to find some old stock somewhere.

But if I'm not mistaken even those in my LR 32 Systainer have that plastic part and that's like six years old.

[member=8955]Coen[/member]  - thanks.  I suspect you may be correct since Festool USA has a picture of the plastic one...  Just wished Festool would make the plastic version easier to read.  A black on black scale is difficult to see. Thanks for the help.

Perhaps white-ink it then clear off the ink of the ridges
