Recognize these?

I reached for one of my Woodpecker’s indexable squares today and VOILA the mystery is solved. See photo. I wasn’t able to find the button to complete the re-assembly, but am sure Woodpeckers will help me out. I did use the tiniest bits on my channel locks and found the other square needed tightening, so this is a heads up to others.

That's funny...during the deep dive into finding out who owned those parts, my initial thought was that it looked like a spanner nut from a bottom bracket but the dimensions were obviously too small for that to be true. Glad to know that the mystery has been solved and your brother has been absolved of all blame.  [smile]

I've been wondering what those parts were for. Glad you found out. But it's also kinda funny that your first pic of the parts means that the answer was right in front of you (I'm presuming the ruler is the same).

That 8” ruler is the extra one (kept in another handy spot) I bought to go with the square. Normally the square of note has the 6” ruler clamped in. But [member=82312]onocoffee[/member] I also saw the irony.
