[member=44099]Cheese[/member] Highland list 1/4, 3/8, and1/2” collets. Does a10mm shank actually fit your collet?

You bet you Michael...Cheese never lies.  [smile]

Just listening to Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham singing Tusk...incredible.

I need to quit this woodworking stuff and get back to the salve of the soul...music.  [smile]
=6

I mean, how many times can you listen to it and still want to go back for more?

Considering the cheapest collet they sell is now $49, and searching for that part takes one to the generic collet page, it would appear that they stopped stocking them a while ago.

It’s odd that Highland would list it as 3/8” if it is actually 10mm. Especially if it has 10 etched on the side.

Can’t complain when Fleetwood Mac is playing but I was a fan of Peter Green’s guitar.
I have a similar feeling about Pink Floyd after Sid left. I liked the first side of Dark Side…okay but not so much the second.

The 3/8" collet that Highland has is in fact a 3/8" collet, sold by everyone in the US.

The Festool part number on their website is 494464, which is on FUSA's website as a 3/8" collet, with a diameter of 9.53mm

Ya that's a strange item number...must have been their own number. The actual Festool number is 494461. That collet was ordered back in 2018.
