It was only ever a problem to us in the US, but back in the day CTs used to come with 20amp (120v) plugs. This made sense, because the thing was potentially turning on another tool too, with all of the power running through it. The problem was that very few job sites had the proper outlets, even if they were wired to a 20amp breaker. This required and adaptor or a replacement plug.
The CT22, we had back then had a very short triple-tap cord that was dedicated to it, and stored with it, just for that reason.
