Not sure how a regular vac works with the TS, but after using the CT, i really don't care to find out. Just got a CT midi about a month ago. Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny of the cost? Yes. The decibel level alone is worth the cost. Those regular shop vacs are about the same as landing a 737 in your living room. Enough noise to drive you bat chit crazy after about 10 minutes. CT is virtually silent in comparison, and doesn't spit dust out the exhaust every time you turn it on. Add to that the CT bags which make emptying the vac an easy, dustless project as opposed to turning the shop vac body upside down in a bag and getting the dust cloud in the face.
As I get older, my tool purchases are all about making my life easier, quieter, cleaner and generally a lot more pleasant. The CT is a big part of that equation. You also don't need a 26 for the TS, a midi or mini will work just fine (same suction rating as the bigger vacs).
