I attended a Festool roadshow today in Atlanta. It was both fun and informative.

I was impressed with the staff. They were extremely helpful, professional, and eager to answer questions. The event was well attended, but not slammed. There were enough Festool staff to demonstrate the tools and be available to answer questions.

I got an answer to a Kapex issue and got to see the vacuum clamp in action. Based on what I saw, I'll probably buy one. Additionally, the gift bag contained an 18 volt battery and a neat shirt.

If you get a chance, I would advise anyone to attend on of these road show events.

I am going Monday (10:00-2:00).  I want to get more information on the cordless saw.  I will also be making a final decision on which sander to purchase.  Should be fun!

Awesome event!  I attended it a few weeks ago.  I told my dealer the "FREE" battery they gave me is going to cost me $1,000.  ;)

They don't seem to like California very much.

Would be nice if they Stopped at Cherokee wood In Upland Calif, 30 mile east of Los Angles.  [cool]

Yeah I agree weekends would be nice. It was a my local Woodcraft today would have loved to gone but there was no way I could get out of the shop for a few hours in the middle of the day. Not to mention my local woodcraft is about 30-40 minutes away.
