Absolutely nothing. Only the shell is cosmetically updated.

Nope, not right now. Maybe now that they've discontinued the RS2 they're working on a 120v version? Who knows what's in the pipeline.

I bought a Recon RS2E while I could get it, and it was much better than the rotex for sanding a slab-ish table top (42"x95") that I was working on, but I really do dislike the old style oval dustport. I actually 3D-printed an adapter that goes from oval to round, which was better. To be really happy with it, I would like to add the three notches for the cleantec hose (I don't think I even need to have them turn, just get a little bit more engagement).
