Sam Maloof oil/varnish finish, what's in it exactly?

Sam's original finish was 1/3 pure tung oil, 1/3 beeswax, 1/3 polyurethane varnish.  I got this directly from him when I attended a class at his house/workshop.  You melt them all together in a double boiler.  Because of the polyurethane, you have to be careful if you are using a gas stove.

What I don't remember is how long you let this finish sit before wiping it down and how many times you apply it.

Actually pure tung oil, boiled linseed oil, gloss polyurethane and beeswax.  The linseed and tung penetrate deeply.  Tung oil never completely dries {Great Wall of China} Linseed dries,  Oil base Poly gloss adds strength to minimize dents,  beeswax fills any voids and blends unlike any other wax I know of with the oils and poly.  The poly gloss is the strongest of the urethanes and the oils mute the gloss.  Best of all worlds finish I believe.  You cannot make a water ring on a piece with this finish period.  That's saying something.  Love you Sam.

If I can get it from a Canadian vendor, I'd like to try it.

Not sure if this is how his oil finish can be made:

Just to add on to Marie-Rama's comment: The retail version of Sam Maloof's Oil/Wax Finish contains:

50% Boiled Linseed Oil
48.5% Raw Tung Oil
0.75% Carnuba Wax
0.75% Bees Wax
I've been using it myself for several years now and love it. I prefer to buy the Maloof branded cans because it cost more for me to buy all the separate ingredients to make it myself.
