i had posted here about my ets 125 sander that was seizing up after about just a few hrs of use.  a festool tech was great and helped me isolate and try to fix the issue.  I reported that a while back here on the forums.  while the fix worked short term, the problem returned after 2-3 hrs of use.  I sent the sander back to festool for repair.  they turned it around pretty darn fast.  it was within 3 yrs so it was a free fix.  very pleased with the way festool handled it.  fantastic customer service.  thank you festool.

Glad you're satisfied and all is well with your sander now. I honestly don't think I've ever read a negative review for our service guys. They do a phenomenal job. I think the latest stats I saw was 98% of tools are turned around in 48 hours, many within 24 hours. Exceeding expectations, that's our promise.

I remember your previous post where we speculated about the cause. Now that Festool looked at it, what turned out to be the real problem?

I believe the invoice stated that they replaced the bushing ( i think that was the part) around the bearing that is located under the counter weight.  It didn't detail what was wrong with the bushing, just that it was replaced.
