Sander question, cabinet related

I'm probably gonna catch hell from you guys, but I don't do anything to the pre finished ply. But I always use dominos and pocket screws. Will use regular titebond on the dominos and gorilla glue on the rest of the seam. Trim off any squeeze out after it dry with a razor blade.
I have glued up a section and stood on it and it didn't come apart at all so that's why I've stuck with it. Maybe I should lightly sand it, but...
Since I've purchased the domino 2 years ago I have not made a single dado. To easy to align with just the dominos. Yet certain circumstances I still would use a dado for the extra gluing surface.
Just my way of doing it.

I am looking to use pre-finished Baltic birch for cabinet boxes. Problem is I would need to sand off a strip of the finish to allow for good adhesion of the glue during assembly.  I thought I had seen a contraption somewhere to accomplish this with a power sander, but have had no luck finding it now that I want to.  Does Festool have a sander that accommodates a pad that can be cut down to 3/4" (18mm) wide? Any ideas will be helpful.

My Buddy Joe (RIP) who got me into festool made this video. In this video he is assembling his cabinets. He is using Prefinished ply. I use his method for my own cabinets and have not had a issue with them. I have added using 2 domonios per joint and 2 screws. It eliminates glue up and clamping. very fast way to assemble cabinets. He has about 5 videos demonstrating the steps of building kitchen cabinets. They do have numbers but are not sequential

I had seen these videos before and actually saved them to a playlist. Unfortunately when I click them YouTube tells me they are now unavailable.  I really liked how he did them. Sorry to hear he's gone.

Pre finished ply is great...all you need is a sanding block like this.

I can't believe Something this simple evaded me brain.  Thanks for the picture, sometimes I try to over complicate these things!
