Setting up festool tongue and groove cutter 491034

Hi fellow woodworkers,

To start with: I'm Dutch, so I may use the wrong terminology every now and then.
I've been searching for information how to set up the festool 491034 tongue and groove cutter to glue up for example a laminated table top.

Hope someone can help me!

Hi and welcome to the forum  [smile]

In the image below the timber is 20mm thick so the centre of the cutter is positioned at 10mm.
I use a steel rule to align the in feed and out feed fences with the inner most part of the cutter so the 'depth' of the cut is correct into the edge.
Run the first edge through and then turn the timber over towards the fence and run the second edge.
So long as the timber is turned to form opposite profiles everything will line up  [smile]
...of course run through some trial pieces and all will be good.
I am away from Training area on Monday but will post some images of the description above to make it clearer.

Thanks! I did see the table build thread, but the description you gave above helps for the setting.
The hight setting is just done by measuring on the cms half the height of the cutter plus half thickness of the wood (16+10 in your example) if I understand you correctly.
The depth setting is quite clear now too I think. Will do some experiments this week, thanks again!!
