Just getting started with this new hobby and I need some advice. I'm building a vanity and have most of the design complete but there's one detail I haven't been able to iron out:
I'd like to go with beaded shaker style drawer faces attached to the rough box. I plan on using a standard bead bit for the inside of the stiles and rails then a notching bit to shave the bead back so i can use dominoes in the corners. I was going to run a grove down the middle of the insides to accept a 5mm panel but then realized the back of the drawer front won't be on the same plane to attach to the rough box.
I'm curious to see if others use this method and how one might get around this issue. Do you attach another panel to the back, and if so, what is the best way to do that? Or maybe just a rabbet along the inside back of rails and stiles and go with 12mm plywood in lieu of the groove in the center?
Thanks in advance, all suggestions are appreciated.
