I figured out a project that I probably can start and complete in time for the contest but am not going to start it for about a week. 

Does a project have to be complete in order to enter that project into the contest?

Projects are great! And even demonstrating the use of a tool or accessory while building a project will get you an entry in the contest.  I am just pointing out that an entry doesn't need to be a whole project.  Show us how to set up a tool, or how it gets used even on scrap pieces works for the contest as long as the minimum requirements for content are met. The focus here should be on the tools and accessories. Building something interesting with them is icing on the cake.

I have seen a couple projects posted recently, don't forget a few extra pics during the build showing and describing your use  of a Festool tool or accessory is all that it takes to enter by putting it in a sepearate thread in the contest entry  board.

I have found myself flipping thru the Festool catalog looking for things since this contest started and I can't win.  I wish I could play.

well here is my entry for the contest... here I am showing how I used my Festools today to teach 13 people how to build a built in... and I let them also use my Festools and make cuts with the TS55,  the LR32 and several others of my tools so overall it was a great day sharing my Festools with others and my knowledge...

I also hope there is a slew of entries by the 7th.

I'd be lying if I said I don't care if I win something, of course I want to win (first prize to be honest). I would prefer to have a greater number of competitors than what is there presently.

With the entries I hope also to take away some knowledge. Probably the most important part of the contest.
