Festool Usage Changes Over Time

If you get the Mafell, I’d love to hear firsthand account on it. I have had my eye on it for years; just haven’t been able to pull the trigger with so many other fantastic tools out there. The standout feature for me is the blade design…. I can’t see how it wouldn’t be a massive improvement over the traditional design
I bought the Mafell P1cc many years ago: very powerful but I didn't use it so much bcs there is little clearance around the blade, which required me bending a lot over it to see the blade, removing even more illumination. I preferred to use the well lit Festool Carvex with its stroboscopic blade illumination, and its more stable circle cutting jig (even if the Carvex requires more hassle to change blades).

This year I bought the new Mafell cordless jigsaw (PS2): this one has its own lighting = huge improvement. And with the Mafell patented CUnex W1 blade (larger in the front than in the back), it allows to easily make curves with very high curvature (very sharp curves, of small radius). I doubt that this could be done with other saws and their blades, at least without breaking many blades.

But these jigsaws are still bulky, with a big protruding "tail". When I need to neatly remove installed sheet material close to obstacles (e.g. perpendicular wall) I need to use the small Milwaukee M12 FJS.
