Time for one of those silly questions! It's about signatures. I'm not the type to list what Festool tools I own in a signature but I accept that others are. I get it when someone lists them in a compact signature with commas separating the items so a signature rarely extends to more than 3 lines. However when someone insists on listing each item on a separate line it somehow becomes mildly tedious. It also means I have to do a lot more vertical scrolling in a thread and I'm sure my vertical scrolling finger has a shelf life that will end with RSI.
Like I said it's not that serious a point but one I think about every now and then. The other one is people quoting very long posts just to say something like "cool" or "I agree". Some forums actually consider that very bad etiquette. It all adds to the information overload we all suffer from nowadays.
Could we have a forum rule that automatically changes a signature over 2 lines to " I really like Festool and I have lots."
