Oliver - amazing transformation on that sink. Really cleaned up well.
Curious why you have to say 'advertisement' in your posts. Lots of posts on FOG mention other brands. Just wondering what's prompting it.
When you get through with your list of projects, I'm sure we can take a poll to keep you busy at many of our homes!

Hi Neil,
Thank you very much!
The reason behind me labeling my postings with visible Klein Tools/ Klein Tools content "Advertisement" is German law, kind of.
(It's complicated, as the laws & guidelines in question were basically written at a time when there where no "influencers" around and the whole concept was unheard of. And they were also especially written for classic journalism/media. That's for example why, whenever an episode of Two and a Half Men airs: "Supported by product placement" flickers on the screen. It's the highly visible Apple computer, or at NCIS: Los Angeles with the omnipresent Microsoft hard- and software + logos. And of course, many, many other TV shows ...)
Over a year ago, when I started my journey with Klein Tools (They provide me with tools to use on my projects and in return get social media coverage (Instagram) from me.) it just came to light that a lobby group/advocacy group for "classic" journalism went after so called "influencers" on social media.
They had lawyers issue letters, demanding fines, requesting (certain) posts to be labeled advertisement and wanted a document signed that would require said labeling for all future posts (concerning certain products/services) and if not, result in a more hefty fine, for every single infraction by the influencer. If you didn't pay and sign, you'd be dragged to civil court.
(I'm sorry, I'm sure there are correct legal terms for all of this, within the English language, but I'm not a lawyer, and I couldn't find/ translate them based on German terms/ language.)
I decided to simply label everything that touched the subject of Klein Tools as advertisement - to not give them (the lobby group) even the slightest chance to approach me in any way. My time is far too precious to me, then to waste it in a civil suit in front of a civil court about labeling postings.
I do the same on my Instagram, as that's is their main hunting ground.
In my point of view all this low-life group wants, is money and basically revenge for influencers stepping on classic journalists toes.

That said, it's a fairly small group and from what I can see, it didn't work out too well for them. They won some, but lost more the more important ones. Which is good. Additionally they killed their reputation over this.
And then, and that is far more important to me: I feel very fortunate to have been allowed to continue my journey/thread on the FOG, Festool USA 's living room, even though I receive tools from Klein Tools for my projects. So I wanted the most transparent approach possible: Whenever the subject of Klein Tools comes up in my postings, I label them advertisement.
Last but not least, I don't consider myself an influencer. I'm not.
Kind regards,
Oliver
