Here's my latest SketchUp model, the Parallel Guides. I think SU models can be be useful to help potential buyers, by taking a virtual tour of the product right at home. It's the next best thing to actually having the product in your hands. I hope to add a few examples of how to use the guides in the model. The model of the parallel guides is mine the guide rail is Jonnyroundboy's. I did however take the liberty of changing Jonny's old style splinter guard with the new clear version, I hope you don't mind.

You guys that know your way around SU the guides are modeled in components that allow the parts to be easily moved and taken apart, have fun.

Brice,

I think that the upload failed.  They're not up there.  Try uploading again.

Dan.

You're right Dan, it didn't upload correctly. I got it fixed now, see original post for link to the model.

Okay Brice,

Where's the scales? ;D ::)

That picture was taken when I didn't have the scales completed, the uploaded model has the scales minus the numbers. The model is a reasonable reproduction, I simplified it some to be practical. All the important stuff is accurately modeled.

Brice,

Very nice model.  Its helps understand the construction of the parallel guides.

Regards,

Dan.

You guys have a bunch more free time than I do, that's for sure.

I don't have children so I do have some free time. I worked on the model for an hour or so at a time, maybe 5-6 hours in it so far.
