Solid interior door: how to make

My wife would like to replace the standard, hollow door on one the kids' room with a solid one. Could buy one, sure, but I think I'd enjoy making one. I was wondering if anyone has a pointer to where I could learn how to make one, and any general advice about this would be greatly appreciated.
