Some Questions for Rick Christopherson regarding the ASA 5000

Hi

Here is my [2cents]   : You get alot of CT vacs with boom-arms for the price of the ASA5000 with accessories. More tools hooked up at the same time. [wink]

That's fine in Europe where everything is 220V, but here in North America we have 110V for the smalls and almost all of my big machines are 220-240V Single Phase.  Can't use the CT for them.

As far as under floor ducting and power... won't work for me. I want the ability to change machine locations if I find better ways to work more efficiently. I don't want to get stuck with a static layout of my shop.  I also need mobility in order to make room in the shop for one of our vehicles in the event of an emergency where we have to bug out for a major hurricane, or civil war erupts. [eek]

How about ceiling drops but put them on spring balancers (maybe not enough weight?) or on tracks so they can be moved out of the way?

Maybe go with the 220 / large duct machines clustered around a central column from the ceiling for power and DC. I have seen that set up in plenty of shops.

EDIT>  Just saw that you want to be able to clear the space out.
