I'm thinking out my tool organization project. I store the tools in my home and move them out to my various job places I as of now have 7 or 8..places spread around the town. [eek] So it just does not make sense to leave any of my gear on site, it returns every night to home base. Now Home base is a relatively small area, so the compact nature of the Sortainer and systainer are super practical.
My super compact stack setup x2 ends up looking like this from bottom to top: Sys cart, Sortainer Sys 3 sort 4, Sys 3 Sort 6, Sys 4 Sort 3, Sys 4 with homemade insert for hand tools, Sys 1 Box. The Power Tools that are in Sys 2 or 3 will be on shelving directly above these two stacks. not higher than easy arm reach. The bigger tools like the TS 75, my coming DF 700 and OF 2200 will be in another two stacks on 2 Sys Rolls..
I've got a little over half of the Sortainer Systainer organising elements now, so to complete that part of it I'll need to buy 2x Sort 6 1X Sort 4 one more Sys 4 Sort 3, Systainer Box.
I love getting things organised now after a few years now of building up my tool arsenal.. I'll likely get the Sys 2 Combi and use it as a current use box where I'll switch in whatever powertool and accessories I need for the days work..
I don't like to think about how much all this ends up costing, but I've already just yesterday appreciated the increased speed at which I can get everything together and get out the door..
Another thing I appreciate is because of the neutral look and feel of the Systainers/Sortainers I don't feel the need to hide them behind any extra doors which is a space saver too..
I'll just need a little wall space additionally to handle any longer elements like Tracks, Levels etc..
