Spindle Moulders

I'm always looking to expand my knowledge about the tools in the shop. Just wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of some good tutorial or the like on setup and use for the spindle moulder.

Can't point you in the right direction is there any colleges near you that might do night classes on safe operation of woodworking machines.

I know the general functionality and safety precautions and gaurds to use etc. it was more a little more on tooling and advanced setup and use of the machine.

I'd go with wrightwoodwork's suggestion of seeking out a local college (assuming they have a spindle moulder). If you want to know more in regards to tooling and advanced use it is entirely possible you could learn something new on safety too. Chances are that the tutor/s will have industrial experience and should be able to help you with what you want.

Also, there are quite a few decent books via the usual suspects (amazon, etc) unfortunately they are more often than not US publications which have different operating processes due to the difference in HSE and Euro laws.

Not sure if axminster is near you. I see they have a 1 day course. Also here is something from hse http://www.hse.gov.uk/woodworking/spindlemoulder.htm. Which is the way I was taught at college in the advanced craft.
