I'd go with wrightwoodwork's suggestion of seeking out a local college (assuming they have a spindle moulder). If you want to know more in regards to tooling and advanced use it is entirely possible you could learn something new on safety too. Chances are that the tutor/s will have industrial experience and should be able to help you with what you want.
Also, there are quite a few decent books via the usual suspects (amazon, etc) unfortunately they are more often than not US publications which have different operating processes due to the difference in HSE and Euro laws.
