Bring back the black splinter guard.

I am not a fan of the clear splinter guard.

It does not help me see my pencil line any better than the black splinter guard.

The adhesive is a waste of time and money. I never had trouble with the black splinter guard.

This upgrade has turned out to be a down grade!

I've replaced mine with the Makita splinter guard, (on the advice of a Festool dealer!! ) and its perfect, no probs at all.

Simple answer dont by the Festool replacements until they have resolved the issue.

I don't know if the Makita splinter guard is exactly the same as the old Festool splinter guard, but it has never started to peel of my Makita rail...
