Squaring MFT side rails to MFT top?

Took delivery on my second MFT yesterday, an 800 to complement my 1080.

This morning I found that the two longer sides of the new 800 are not square to its top (which itself isn't completely flat...).

I've been spoiled by the fact that I could clamp something into the T-slots on the sides of my 1080 and it would be perfectly perpendicular to the top. I'd like to be able to do the same with the new MFT.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there any possibility for adjustment in taking the table apart and putting it back together again?

Well, I have just assumed that all MFTs were not square as you describe due to the corner castings -- I have 4 MFTs and all are off because of this.  Maybe I should have assumed otherwise.

I have needed to adjust the corner/profile connection to correct the alignment of the side T-slot in order to install the table connectors when I first joined tables together.  No problem.  But that was a vertical adjustment.  To correct the angle that the corner castings instill upon the profiles would require shims -- not the best arrangement.  If these corner castings were intended to be true and the profiles square with the top, maybe I need to contact Customer Service.

My 1080 is not even close to square between the side extrusions and the top.  I think you were lucky the first time...

Aaaiii... Say it's not true!

I guess I was.

Well thanks both of you for setting me straight on this... (no pun intended).

You bet.  Now if someone could just set me straight.  Wouldn't mind having those MFTs set straight either.

And I usually do intend on the pun  ;)
Just a flaw in my upbringing.
