Ok, I've read the supplemental manual, and I have followed the instructions. What I don't get is do I divide the answer by 4?

( used the calculator that's attached to the supplemental manual)

My first series of cuts, the difference was .135

After an adjustment, (I guessed at that. moved about 1/16") it's now at .106

Is that pretty close? or should it be closer? I don't know whether to divide .106 by 4 or ??

Thanks!

Whether or not .106 is good is relative to length of the piece. .106 in an inch not so good, .106 in 10' acceptable. To me anything less than 0.001 in 2' is acceptable.

Watch this video;

I know it's not a Kapex, but the same principles apply.

Ok, I've got it down to .059 over 10 1/2 inches, I'm thinkin that's pretty close. :) not sure if I divide by four or not, I just barely tapped it, and tightened it up.

I had noticed that it was a bit out, so that's why I decided to square it up. Saw is coming up on 3 years old, and it gets hard  use so being out of square a bit was probably par for the course.

My micrometer reads .059 and my vernier caliper reads .066

should be good for precision cutting now :)

I hope the next incarnation of the Kapex has a detent over-ride!!!! :)

and a 1/10 degree vernier scale, for cutting that large crown very precisely.

Hey it could happen!!!! LOL

Thanks for the video tjbnwi  :)

Edit: got 'er down to .00325  stopping there!!
