Systainer labels

I want to offer an apology to my volunteers.  I have gotten experimental labels prepared for most of you.  i have the labels in hand.  Unfortunately, I have had a technical issue come up that will be rectified shortly.

Christmas presents to relatives involved printed clothing whose transfers I was responsible for producing.  Unfortunately, (said politely but with anger in my soul) the instructions for the products were incomplete - yes I did read them and I made my wife read them - and the result was that the laser compatible transfers glued themselves to essential parts of the laser printer.  &#!*&#^!

New parts will arrive early next next week.  I will process and mail ASAP.  Thank you for your patience.  Please forgive my brevity - I have to go and find a tree to kick.

oink...
snort...

Peter, no need to apologise (to me anyways). `Whenever`, is soon enough for me.

There is however a caveat. The more delays the more tools that get added. Since our last, I have added OF 1010 Router [thumbs up]

Happy New Year!!!

Ok, here is the pics of the catches on the systainer with the tool picture on it.  I fear it may be a 25th anniversary thing though.  Pity as it looks good.

Oh, and if you are looking for your Panda, they have a systainer for that too  [unsure]

Its actually my of1010

Attention Experimental Guinea Pigs,

First Guinea Piggie who responds back on the forum with his favorite owned Festool will get a bonus.

Printer is back in action.  Labels printed.  Even if you have previously sent your mailing address, please PM me and supply so I can send and look forward to feedback.  I need to clean out my mailbox and don't want to search now.

Labels are going all over the US, the UK, and Australia.  Fogger's are everywhere!

This has been fun.  Hope the experiment works!

TS-55 w/rails is my favorite! although the TS75 was my first Festool purchase. different saws for each activity and the 55 works great for cutting sheets with out the need for a panel saw or table saw!

I'm too late, but I'll say the CT-22 because I never use any of the other Festools without it and use it with many others, too.

Besides, try, yes, just try putting your Christmas lights on a TS-55...

Nice labels Peter.  I came up with a slightly different solution to this problem.  The company I used to work for started buying Festools back in 01 or 02.  You can imagine that soon after all my co workers began to buy them.  I watched as labels fell off, some in a matter of days, and where replaced by blue tape or foil tape or even those colored dot stickers.  Anything to differentiate the tainers.  Id ask where is the router and my reply would be in the tainer with the silver triangle on it and after searching for five minutes he'd say oh I mean the one with the red dot on it.  What is the point if its going to be a pain to find your tools.  All my co workers called me crazy but this is my solution. Using the label as a stencil.  Cut out the tool image and paint.  The nice thing is is that you get two shots at it.  Here are some pics.

C 12 Cordless Drill, bosh jigsaw (predates my introduction to Festool)

Pinch dogs and Spring Clamps, MFT 3 accessories, and the large tainer contains the sand paper caddy I'm building.  Haven't figured out the stencil for it yet.  Watch for my upcoming post on the sand paper caddy.  I have to finish constructing it first.

So that's it.  Let me know what you all think.  My co workers told me that I need to get a girlfriend if I have this much free time on my hands.  I think there probably right.  My philosophy is that it should be a pleasure to work not a tangled disorganized mess that wastes your time and generally makes you miserable.  But I'm preaching to the choir here.

I would love to be a gunia pig. if you're still looking. I notice a couple have a favorite tool. Mine is the c12. it gets the most use.

Was just in the workshop & had my c12 systainer on the bench & i was looking at the label hanging off.  I got some "mitre bond", the 2 part glue that you use on kitchen cornicing etc & thought i would try that.
I put the spray on the back of the label & the super glue on the systainer then folded the label back over.  I squeegeed the glue out to the edge of the label & made sure it overlapped over the outside edge of the label.

It seems to have worked a treat but time will tell.

To all the experimental "Piggies" - except one - who needs to send me their mailing address,

Elvis has left the building with your labels.  Hopefully they will get there intact.  I can't wait to see how long the one set takes to get to Queensland, Australia.  Thanks for making this fun, and I hope that they work out for you.

Peter Halle

My labels arrived Thursday. They are defiantly not Farmers Market. They are top notch. I just finished putting them on by your five step plan. All very neat. Thanks again.

[big grin]
Thank You!  My labels arrived last night and I have to agree they are top notch and look great. I have to tell you that I think you should open a business in the graphic arts field.  It looks like you have all the equipment to provide quality printed materials and I know you have the talent to draw so it seems that you are ready to go.  Anyway thanks again Peter for everything.  ;)
