Unbelievable....I looked outside to see if pigs were flying.  It's been a long time coming for the valley, everyone's pretty excited down here.  It's especially nice for Kurt Warner, it's hard to root against that guy.

Yikes.  That was the Superbowl?  Regardless of the outcome I think you'll find the Steelers vs. Cards game a lot more entertaining.

Defense wins championships, Steelers should take it.  Going to be hard to care about a Superbowl with the Cardinals in it, guess I'll have to place a small bet to keep my interest.  Go RAIDERS, (maybe next year)!

Congratulations to the Cardinals. I don't expect this to be the most exciting Superbowl but you never know.

Go Steelers!

Go Steelers!

Go Steelers!

I had to go outside to see if pigs were flying after the game.  It's a pretty exciting atmosphere down here.  The team is fun to watch and is made up of some likeable guys.  It's hard not to root for Kurt Warner, E. James has been a model of professionalism and Larry Fitzgerald is one of the most exciting receivers in the league.
One thing that bothers me is that we are so quick to anoint players/people these days as the greatest ever at something.  One of the announcers was talking about Fitzgerald having the greatest hands in football, even better than Cris Carter.  I was never a big C. Carter fan but come on.  Fitz has been at it for 4 years now, how long was Carter making all of those unbelievable catches?
I'll start to get upset when they put Fitz in the company of Rice.  Those would be fighting words.

Congrats to the Cardinal for finally getting this far.

Though, here in Pittsburgh, we already know the outcome of Superbowl XLIII!!! I won't give away the ending but, the confetti will be 'Black & Gold'.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  That's what everyone was saying before the Falcons game.  That's what everyone was saying before the Panthers game.  That's what everyone was saying before the Eagles game.  Let's wait and see what happens on 2/1.

I'm routing for the Steelers, but I also know that in any single game, any team can win.   Unexpected things can happen.   And some highly rated teams can be totally humiliated (think Ohio State U.).

Pittsburgh played the toughest schedule of any NFL team this season...

Beat the 2nd best Defense 3 times and has just been to the Superbowl in 2005.

Cardinals have had nothing to lose but now I think they will be feeling some pressure.

Anything can happen, but I wouldn't bet against the Steelers, they will be there and be focused.

Best,
Todd

Plus living in Charlotte I know how lame the Panthers really are...

I'm sure the Cardinals will be more than happy to accept the role of the underdog yet again.

I was lucky enough to land great seats for yesterdays Cardinals game. I can't talk above a whisper today.

This was the third NFC championship game I've been fortunate to attend, and it was by far the most exciting.

Saw the Bears beat the Rams on their way to winning the super bowl that year, but they were supposed to win every game so it wasn't very dramatic when they did.

The Cards have been expected to lose every game. I wonder if Terry Bradshaw will stick with his statement that he will not pick against the Cards again this year.

I saw Terry Bradshaw interviewing Ken Whisenhunt on TV yesterday.  Terry said something like, "You know, Ken, I picked the Cards to go all the way this year."  Ken's response was, "It's about time".  And they both smiled.

Well I have to say GO Arizona, come on one of the worst teams in football over the years, I would love to see them win it all!

The Steelers are nowhere near the defensive team they had during the "Steel Curtain" days!

L.C. , Mean Joe Greene, Dwight White and Ernie Holmes, those guys were awesome!

The current Steelers "D" has a long way to go to even be talked about in the same sentence with those guys.

Terry can pick the Cards to win it all and the people of Pittsburgh will still love him and allow him to visit the city....

We all realize that he was goofy to start with and also took a lot of hits to the head in his career...
but he ALWAYS cam through in the Big Game....

Best,
Notorious T.O.D.
