mdorsam said:I have both the the shop vac version and the SDD (connected prior to my primary DC) - both work great. A bit of a revolution, actually. I agree that the systems are 95% profit for Oneida - the DD (shop vac version) is a rigid plastic thing that cost at least $2 to make; however, it works, and was rated a Best Buy by Fine Woodworking and several others. I don't mind somebody making money on me so long as I get the functionality and value I demand - think of Festool here. The SDD has been the real win - I upgraded a run-of-the-mill single-stage Delta to a HEPA sub-micron filter, and am collecting no fines in the bag. The suction has improved, due to the larger surface area of the Wynn Environmental bag, made possible because the SDD captures most of the particulate.
