I recently got the TID18 and the T18E, these will be replacing DeWalt 14.4V NiMH tools that are not holding a charge.

I weighed them just to see what the difference 15+ years of tool and battery evolution brings:
I like Systainers and have adopted them pretty broadly. However I found the Systainers for the TID18 & T18E to be pretty bulky and not particularly well suited to how I expect to use these tools, based on years of using their predecessors. I am a hobbiest / handyman type and while I try to stay in the shop it isn't always possible, and a drill + driver are two of the tools I most often need when I am working somewhere else.
Of course drills and drivers need bits, and I also like to have some screws with me, and that is where the Systainers didn't measure up. So I set aside these particular Systainers and moved the TID18 + T18E into a smaller case that also has room for a selection of bits, some screws and a few other things that always seem to be needed.
The T18 bag is quite a bit smaller than the Systainers supplied with the TID18 & T18E, not quite as well organized but I think it will be much handier.

- Dewalt 14.4 hammer drill: 2.4kg, T18E 1.9kg
- DeWalt 14.4 impact 1.9kg, TID18 1.6kg
