The TS55REQ was just a little too photoshopped on the Festool page

Supermodels sometimes have missing belly buttons, but  the "what's new" picture of the TS55REQ is missing the handle.  I found that to be a bit confusing.

The saw is plunged. So, the handle isn't visible. It's behind the housing.

I can photoshop one in. [big grin]

Honestly, I don't know. The image is from Germany. I just looked at my saw and the handle is slightly visible, depending on perspective from the camera. The handle may have been removed to allow full plunge lock in the photo, just a guess, assuming that it's indeed missing and not just the camera angle.

This isn't the new self propelled model is it? That would explain the missing handle and premium price.

I like the one that cuts backwards.

Shane, just having a little fun.  [blink]  Love my Festool System.

Who can tell me the Pic I'm talking about?

That would be the one on the banner of FOG, of course!! [big grin]

I'm pretty certain the pictured model is also self energised, not requiring any external power supply.

Handle? What handle?  My eyes are locked onto the sexy new offcut splinter guard.  Wish they'd re-engineer the old one that was re-commissioned without modification for the TS-75; requires a 32mm plunge to engage (unless you mod it  [cool])

Actually this is the remote control guided , solar powered TS 55. It is remotely controls by me working while sitting in Cabo drinking a umbrella drink

We have had the TS-55R down under for some time. Is the TS-55REQ a different model or just the US version? BTW did i mention how good the CMS rip table works!

You got that right. The older model was EBQ or EQ, newer is R EBQ ( REBQ) or REQ.
Here in Europe it's a REBQ model.
