Does anyone know of the thinnest possible blade available for the TS55? Any brand, although it would be handy if it were available in the UK. I have the universal blade that comes in at 2.2mm and am looking for something a little thinner...
Cheers!

To add to others, keep note that every TS 55 has a riving knife which limits the blade thickness before the saw starts getting "stuck" in the cut by the riving knife.
This means that the thinnest blade that consistently work well is, at most, 0.1mm thinner than the riving

See my posting from June 2010.
So what exactly is the point of your observation? Is it for those who can’t afford/be bothered to change the knife?
So you posted on at TS55 thread and couldn’t be bothered to scroll up 4 posts to see the information. I understand the youngsters need spoon feeding but that is stretching things way too far.mino said:Sorry, but no I am not (was not) aware, it was not posted in this thread, nor a reference to it, and, apologies, but I will not sift through all posts of everyone in this thread from the 2010-2022 period. That demand of you is a bit ... too much.Sometimewoodworker said:Did you notice that there are thinner riving knives available/supplied with the thinner saw kerf blades!!!

Oh the horror and difficulty of scrolling back 4 posts!!! I feel for your pain [/sarcasm]mino said:It is a shame, but that is the culture in a forum if you can link that thread/post with more detail it would be immensely helpful as otherwise it is really unreasonable to expect everyone to dig through all posts from the past
That is surprising, why? The thread is about the TS55 the R/F iterations were not even a gleam in the eye of the designers when it was started.mino said:The picture on your post seems to be showing a TS 55 (non-R/F) compatible riving knife which has a way simpler design.
mino said:Regardless, nowhere in the thread it was discussed the relationship between the blades and the riving knifes
Since the OP posted the original question in June of 2010 you can be sure that they are unlikely to benefit. Specially since they were Last Active: 08 July 2020- 06:09mino said:Hope helps someone, if not the OP
