This works with that, that works with the other thing

Ok, so Peter's thread Those Festool engineers think of everything made me think that this could make for an interesting discussion.

Here's the idea... List a Festool system component and all of the other components that it works with. One of the benefits of owning more than one of our products is that they integrate well with one another. Let me start off the thread with an easy one and let's see how many we can come up with.

Festool clamps work with...

...under the guide rails
...Kapex crown stops
...MFT profile
...MFT table top through the holes

Did I miss another way the clamps integrate? Name some of the components and how they integrate. How many can we come up with?

Some are going to be obvious, some not so obvious. But, I think we may learn something we didn't know about how well our products integrate with one another, myself included.

Here is one that I can think of:

- The Kapex Crown Stops work with the MFT/3 rails and the older Kapex extensions can also be used with the MFT/3 protracter head.

FS/2 rails work with...

Circular Saws
Jig saws
Routers

Stops on the rails prevent kickbacks

Parallel guides attached to the rail and work great for repeated cuts.
FS/2 rails with holes work as LR-32 jig
FS/2 rails can be extended indefinitely.
FS/2 rail is part of MFT table
FS/2 rail works with clamps.

FS/2 rail can be used as straight guide.
FS/2 rails have splinter guard.
FS/2 rails work with angle unit.

A Systainer 1 is the same height as the table of the Kapex if it is sitting on a flat surface.  An impromptu extension!

Why is it that the posts that hold the fence on a Domino, when flipped upside down, match the spacing of the holes on an MFT/3 perfectly......? [eek]

The stop that fits the fence of the MFT will also work on the guide rails. Installing it with the long arm of the stop pointing towards the splinter gaurd works better.

That's a good one!
