Hi all,

first post here (edit: oops, 2nd :)).  Was hoping to make a better contribution than a silly question as my first post - hope it's not a sign of things to come!

I picked up a bunch of Festool products recently including a CTL 26 and haven't had time to give them a go yet as I moved house and have only just set up the temporary workshop.  So today I sort out my MFT/3 and try to hook up my CTL to my RO 90 and realise that I'm missing the hose-to-tool adapter.  Isn't this supposed to come with the CTL?  I know you don't get many accessories in the packages but the least I would expect is enough to actually use it.

I've attached a picture of the tool end of the hose.  I'm missing the piece that slides onto the tool.

Can someone also comment on what should have been included with the CTL 26?  I didn't get a manual so am wondering what else is missing.  I also ordered an RO 90 at the same time from this firm (UK) and didn't get a power lead.

Thanks, Shareef.

Shareef,

Welcome along.  [smile]

Where did you buy them from? It looks like you've had a bit of bad luck, and something has been 'borrowed' from both the vac and the RO90. As for what should come with the vac, it comes with the hose, one filter (which will be fitted), one bag, and the manual. It doesn't sound like you're missing anything else.

I suggest you call them tomorrow & explain the situation, e-mail them that photo (or direct them here), and get them to send you the missing piece, along with the missing plug-it lead. Hopefully it's not too long since you bought them - if it's within the last few weeks it shouldn't be a problem, but if you've had them several months you may have to argue your case a bit.

Thanks both.

I bought them at the start of Jan from Healy's Tools in St Albans.  The first and last purchase I'll make from them it seems.  I already complained about the plug-it lead as I noticed it straight away but this is the first time I've come to connect the hose.

The CTL box did look a bit dog eared when it turned up but from your contents list, I'm just missing the manual and the end of the hose.

I'll see what they say tomorrow.

I get my stuff from tool fix in petersboro talk to mick, he usually has to order it and will deliver the day it comes in.

Just wanted to follow up and say that I've now received the missing part.  I spoke to Healy's who seemed to be genuinely surprised at my misfortune as most of their stock is shipped straight out as it arrives from Festool.  Perhaps I was just unlucky but to their credit, Healy's were quick to resolve the issue and send me the spare part.

Cheers.
