Good Morning,

I'm looking to find wood suppliers in the Toronto/GTA area. I'm looking for suppliers with a fair variety of species, as well as sheet goods who you find to have good quality materials and are reputable. Any and all suggestions is appreciated.

There are a handful I've used.  Depending on where you are located in the GTA, you may want to narrow your search.  I primarily use Peacock Lumber in Oshawa for most of my needs and for exotics I use Century Lumber in Stouffville.

There are others though.  You might want to ask this on the Canadian Woodworking and Home Improvement forum.  You'll get a lot more suggestions there than here on what is largely a US centered forum.

There is even a thread dedicated to lumber suppliers there but may be getting a bit dated and covers the entire country.  Somebody there will likely post a link to it if you start a thread for your query there.

Exotic Woods in Burlington is very hard to beat for selection, good selection sheet goods,  also A&M in Cambridge.

I'm on the west side of High Park in Etobicoke. I used to use Oliver's when it was nearby to the 427 as well as some others around the GTA. Part of the reason for this thread is to get an idea where other people are going and their perspectives of those suppliers. Thank you!

Are you pro or hobbyist, makes a difference with some suppliers. No sense giving you places that won't sell to you.

Hobbyist - the only thing "pro" with me is procrastination these days.
