Hi All,
I first entered into the Festool arena after purchasing a Vecturo Multitool, Which I must say, did not go well. The blades kept coming loose and the vibration was really bad. It was determined I got one that was defective. Needless to say, I returned it, and needing something right away and no more Vecturos in stock, I got the Fein FMM 350Q, which I absolutely love by the way. I did however miss the plunge base. What a great attachment. -- So I saw a post on this forum about a guy fitting the Festool plunge base on his Multimaster with great success. I decided to try it and boy, am I a happy camper. See photos below. -- Since the photos were taken, I have switched to a longer 2 3/4" blade from Multitool.com for plunging with the base.

Anyway, on with the show. I then purchased the CT26 Dust extractor. I was so impressed. I own a Fein vac which is very good as well, but this thing is just over the top good. Next up came the T55REQ .... YOW !!! - Unbelievable!!  -- Now starting to feel the urge coming on even stronger, I go for the O1400 Router with the guide stop attachment. -- SO impressed. -- Oh boy, wouldn't it be cool to have the MFT/3 now and have a "System" with which to work .... OK, why not. And better get some clamps and doo-dads too. -- finally (well for now at least), I rounded out my splurge with the ETS 125 sander.

With SO many great vids on Youtube regarding setting up Festool products, along with this great forum (I come here a lot but do not post much), I was up and running with these great products in no time. I even asked a good friend of mine to make me some Bench Dogs for my MFT Pictured below).  They came out fabulous. ---

In closing, I am proud to be a Festool owner, and I hope my wife never sees this post LOL!

It's always cool seeing how people rig things up between different manufacturers. And those bench dogs look awesome.

My girlfriend told me  a couple nights ago "I remember when you had a two stack of Festool, now you have two stacks of five Festool. No more tools."

I then went and ordered another $200 worth of accessories, blade for the TS 55, sandpaper, clamps and what not. I'm gunna have to try and intercept the delivery guy before she sees them.

Great post..  Staniam I had the Same thing happen, I used to keep maybe 6 sustainers in my van, the wife would see them. Whatever.  Well a few weeks ago, she came to my shop while I was working. (which she never does). Anyway, I gathered all my systainers together for a new van mock up.  Well she walked in and seen all 54 of my sustainers stacked there.  Now they don't all have festool tools in them, but 80% of them do.  Needless to say, she had a few questions.  Actually Shane has the picture of all my systainers. If he could add it here that would be great.  I added 4 since then too.

Well, I certainly have a LONG way to go before I even come close to you guys! -- I started getting systainers (From Tanos) on Amazon right after I got the Vecturo.  What a great system. -- I guess the biggest thing I am getting from all this, is not only does Festool pay such close attention to detail, but they think of just about everything. -- Could not be more pleased. -- Who knew that something so minute as a detachable power cord could end up being such a huge benefit. -- To be able to just swap tools is brilliant!

For some reason I thought the plunge attachment only worked on the Supercut.  Glad to see it will go with my MM 350 too -- will have to get one now.  Is the hook up easy, or do you have to do some fiddling/modifications?

Definitely have to modify, but it was pretty easy to do. The piece that fits directly onto the MM has to be shortened a bit toward the back of the tool, and a shim needs to be put into place.

Got it, thanks.  Looks like you almost stripped one of the hex bolts in the first set of pictures -- is that due to the fact that it's being mounted on a non-Festool machine?

No, not at all.  These were bolts I had lying around.  You will need to get longer ones for this mod.

The Vecturo plunge base fits directly on the Supercut but the Multimaster needs modification as per above.

Apparently Fein are about to release an even stronger Supercut which is vibration dampened.  The Vecturo is based on the "old" Supercut but it is a very nice machine. My Multimaster got stolen years ago and I bought into the stronger Supercut with the quick in system and I am very happy with it.

i started with a craftsman bolt on drill set and a kreg pocket jig 2 years ago.
