Just figured I would show my new mft setup.  15 series extrusions with trunkworks cnc tops and a Kreg base.  With dashboard track stars I can crosscut 48" and I can make 8' rips. I'll try to post pictures after I get my fence and hinge setup.  Getting everything square was a real pain and I'm not sure I would want to do it again.  The dog holes are almost perfect across the whole top, the left panel should move forward about 5 thousandths but I was sick of fiddling with it.  I still planning on adding 1 leg to each outside corner, there is a little flex currently.

I also wanted to mention why I chose this configuration.  I've seen the 3 mft's setup all in the long configuration, I chose to not go that direction because I didn't like having to reach that far each time to raise my guide rail.  The way I did it I stand in the middle and will have my guide rail on the right mft and will only have to reach over the 28" in the middle section instead of 43".

I like the design and it's one I'm considering for my own shop. Please give us some feedback on likes/dislikes after a few projects.

I thought about including cost but I already had a lot of it on hand.  I had a large mft I built before using the extrusions, it measured about 3' by 7' and made the top with the parf system.  So the extrusions I cut down and reused.  The tops are $162 each.  I'm sure I've got about $1000 in it total.  I was going to buy the dashboard bench, but since I had the extrusions I decided to make it myself.

I’m curious do the cantilevered wings have support we can’t see….any flexing?
I like it !

I mentioned that I plan on adding 1 leg to each side.  They would be perfectly fine how they are, I could stand on them if I wanted, but they do flex a little.  Those extrusions are really strong, definitely overkill.

Nice job, I'll be interested to see it when you add the fence & hinge.  [smile]

Here are some new pictures since I finished it.

I got 3 MFTs been  o Im going to rearranging the shop trying to figure out the most efficient wy to set them up. right now I got them separated into work stations, one has my vac system set up.  I going to try your config see how it goes

so I configure my 3 MFTs to match your set up. Used MFT connectors to align them. Put a cabinet with drawers under one of the, Under the center one I put a shelf with the Vac SYS compressor and foot pedal, the other one I used ply to use as a shelf  Seems to be a great set up.
Used it yesterday with no complaints. Got a project coming up to really check it out.

I might have to move my CMS table saw/router over a bit along with the MFT set up give me more room in the shop.
