TS 55 dust

My TS55 has more dust off the front of the blade than any of the video's I've seen.  I have the CT26 turned up all the way so I'm looking for suggestions.  I am cutting 3/4" melamine if that makes a difference.

You'll want to make sure that the clear plastic viewing window or green splinter guard is pushed down to the melamine. This will help to stop the dust that's kick out of the front of the saw. Let me know if you continue having issues with it.

If you are making very thin/trimming cuts (no material on the outside) this also adds to the drop in dust collection. I also have the CT26 and TS55 and have the same in this situation primarily - otherwise it's very good.

My fix is to place a bit of sacrifice wood at the end of cut so that the blade never emerges out the "far" end of the cut. Typically it's a 1×2 lying parallel to fence...becoming the real fence.

The larger D36 hose does a better job than the D27 extracting dust from the TS saws. Think about a Cleaning Set?  [blink]

Also, often when cutting another piece over an existing kerf line (either on the MFT or your own sacrificial cutting surface) dust will find that avenue, so someone here long ago offered the simple solution of placing masking tape over that escape route. I use this trick on occasion when I notice the issue.

I attach a piece of National Guard Products 1" brush weatherseal to my tracksaws to help contain dust.  Like the Kapex, there will always be a certain amount of escaping debris, but the the reduction is tremendous.

Got a picture of this? Didn´t quite understand what you did.

A deeper depth setting will also result in a more vertical blade path through the material being cut, and direct more sawdust towards the dust chute.
