TS55 cutting on a wall

Have always just cut things with my TS55 and guide rail on a cutting table.  Had to cut a few inches off of something on the wall, so just screwed the guide rail to the wall and it worked great.  I only wish there was a way to cut right to the end of the guide rail when it's butted up against something.

I screwed a Guide Rail to my soffits to make long cutouts for some soffit vents. It worked great.

I've also screwed the guide rail to walls and used it to mark layout lines (with a laser level for a chair rail) besides the actual cutting.  Since I'm always working alone I can also span longer distances while using guide rails as a layout device.  Another tip is that with the rubber strips on the bottom I don't have to screw it to the wall and it will grip the wall while I hold it with one hand/hip and I still have a free hand and am able mark the wall without it slipping.  Of course this is for a shorter guide rail and to speed up this process I use a laser level to continue the line to where ever I need it.

They only have one and he's busy cutting out his chandelier with a TS75 and FS5000/2 guide rail.

Dang I have got start thinking out of the box. I would never have thought of screwing to the wall. Use the Geckos yes..

What a rocking idea.  Just picked up a TS55 and now I'm itching to bolt that guide to something...
