TS55, does the post 2007 base plate fit the pre 2007?

I've worn out the aluminium wear pads on my 2004 saw, it looks like the newer model will fit but it's quite expensive so if anyone knows one way or the other I'd appreciate it.

Short of gluing in shims, I can’t think of an alternative.

I would be quite ok with buying a new base plate if I knew it was going to fit my saw.

Ask Festool or your dealer to confirm that it will fit. I can’t think of any reason it wouldn’t.

Think my TS55 is about 15yrs old, I needed a new base because the old one was worn.

I found the base I thought I needed on Ekat and called Festool (UK) to confirm but they were a bit none committal. When it turned up it fitted fine, the gibbs (is that the right word?) underneath were much improved from my old base but apart from that I think it was the same. It came with a few bits of plastic attached like the bevel scale. I actually found it a real faff to set up properly for the offset from the rail.

Pretty sure the base for the TS55R is different, different Ekat numbers anyway, doubt it will fit but you never know.

I believe when you mention gibs you are referring to the wear strips and possibly cams, though I don’t recall a chance to the cams.
