I don't get as much use out of my TS55 as I'd hoped mainly because it's in the sustainer and usually stacked at the bottom of the roll around sustainer holder.  I've seen where they have been attached to the rail and stored that way. Anyone using this setup?

I don't have a shelf where I leave the saw either under or attached to the MFT.  But I do keep it in a Sys-AZ drawer in a home-made Sysport within a couple of feet of the MFT.

Have you considered using one of the Sys-AZ drawers so that access is easier to your stack?  I've found them to be a huge motivation to getting the tools out more frequently.

I have seen the shop made guides that lets you leave the saw on the MFT rail in an upright position.  But I don't trust it not falling and potentially being damaged.

what is thre advantage of trying to leave the saw somehow attached to the guide rail when not in use?
Seems to me to result in an awkward and hard to handle bundle.

I'm sure I missed the point here somehow [embarassed]

Using the MFT as a work station with the circular saw, someone made a kind of hook that attached to the far end of the rail (over the pivot point) that would keep the saw from falling off the rail when the rail was tilted up to uncover the work surface.

When you've got the work piece sorted out on the table you just tilt the rail back down into place and slide the saw back to the start position.

Even if you need the rail down to position a cut line against the splinter guard, with the saw's weight over the hinge it's still easy enough to adjust the work piece. And with the saw on top of the rail you have all of the table surface available without needing to put the saw on the floor or a stack of something it could fall off of.

SUDS didn't mention using his TS55 in conjunction with an MFT mounted Guide rail - that do make a difference. Thanks for filling me in
