I'm going to purchase the Saw and MFT 1080 package next week. The TS 75/1080 package is $108 more than the TS 55/1080 package.

Other than the difference in max depth of cut and weight of each saw, what are the other differences?

I'm basically trying to figure out if the TS75 package is worth the extrra money.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob, there's a quick comparison chart at the bottom of this page on our website:

Here's an image showing the physical difference in size of the two saws.

I wrestled with this recently. I liked the added depth potential of the 75, but was concerned that it would be uncomfortably bulky to use. I went with the 75 because I often have to rip fairly thick stock, and I'm glad that I did. The first week that I had it I had to rip some 2" thick 8' stock at 45 degrees ...piece of cake... couldn't have done it with the 55, and because I only use the saw on the track the size doesn't come into play, it's very easy to use. It is a bit bigger to lift from the systainer to the track, but that's about it. If you don't need the extra depth or power, the 55 is probably more than adequate.
