It has often been said Festool tools aren't built for site work, or that they are relegated to the workshop.  I came across this TS55EQ on a site recently that was beat up, dented, scratched and even cracked.  The guy left the saw in a busy corridor where other trades might have kicked it, he didn't care, it was a tool to do the job and it was great to see a well used tool still going strong.

I was pleasantly surprised how many Festools were on this site, CXS, TS55's, tracks, routers, BHC 18 and a number of systainers I didn't quite catch what were in them.

the only ppl that said they arent for site work are the ppl who think they are expensive and never used it camp. you dont see them that beat up because ppl tend to take care of things that cost alot like anything else in the world.

I don't own a ts55 but my drills and 1010 have taken a firm kickin and kept on being great.

If anything the TS55 was made purely and solely for on site work, in a country where every serious business has a panel saw there was simply no market at all to sell these if advertised as a workshop tool.
