I think this has been mentioned before but I'm going to reiterate. Please make a splinter guard that works on the TS75. I know I can glue a piece of wood on the bottom but I'd rather Festool made one that fits the saw instead of a non functional repurposed TS55 one.

Thank you.

I second that. I also know about the workaround for the wasteside splinter guard, but it sure would be nice to be able to purchase one from Festool that works on the TS 75 without having to plunge to at least 35mm (not the ideal answer if you are trying to cut 4/4 hardwood, or 1/4 -3/4 inch plywood while using the MFT).

I recently returned my TS 55 REQ within the first 30 days and went with the TS75, since the TS 75 actually stops at 0 and 45 degree, while the new TS 55 REQ firmly stops at -1 and 47, and is flimsy on the 0 and 45 degree angles. Precision cuts are only possible by applying an angle finder each time I try to set it to 0. The metal bracket and green knob that's supposed to hold it at those stops flexes and the one I tested stopped at -0.62 degree and 45.24 totaling 45.86 degree (yes, I measured it  :)) between the 0 and 45 stops. I spoke to my Festool dealer about it and we tried a couple of their TS 55 REQ, all of which had the problem of stopping around -0.5 degree and then the dealer contacted Festool service, but there was no satisfying answer from Festool customer service (the rep just told us not to trust the scale, but didn't see this as an issue at all). These (admittedly minor) flaws really start making me doubt the overall quality of Festool tools. Don't get me wrong, these are still very good tools, but I figured that with Festool I would be buying great tools that stand out. They just fall a little short of that expectation (except for the price tag). The dealer actually told me that he is going to write to Festool to complain about both our perceived lack of quality, and his concern about brand equity.

Thanks,
-Volker

I echo your concerns about the beveled cuts on the TS55req.  Soon I have to make some very specific degree cuts for the seat and back of a L shaped bench seat, and I am really worried about getting this right.  What really stood out to me was the slop between the left and right bevel locks.  You could lock one down, and the other could still move about a bit.  So, it's not just getting the angle right, but getting it right on both ends.

Yes, I totally agree,  festool needs to make a proper splinter guard for the proper tool they make.  Dust collection is the claim to fame of festool it would be nice to see them follow thru in all aspects.  It would be nice to have a festool part to cover the side of of the saw also, where you change the blade, to give full dust collection.
Just my  [2cents]
Cheers

I'm with you all. I have taped my pieces to the side of my saw. It would be nice to have something quick and clean.

Could we not maybe getnthe guy with the 3D printer to make these if is was kind enough?
