I have an older TS 55, probably 5-6 years old, before they put the FS "clip" on the depth adjustment to show what the depth is when sitting on the rail, can these be added onto the older models with a part from festool?

Good question.  We should flag [member=57769]TylerC[/member] on this one for an official Festool answer.

Our service team is the most likely crew to have an answer for this one. I've asked and will let you know when I hear something back.

I just heard back from our service team:

"No, the TS 55 cannot be retrofitted with this feature.  It is actually a complete assembly and simply doesn’t fit."

I dont worry about it. I have a old TS 55. I just set the rail and saw on the MFT and zero it by lowering the blade till it just kisses table. everything else is based off that

I have a suggestion for you.

Get your hands on the Imperial depth gauge (sounds like a star wars weapon or something), cut it likely in half lengthwise, and fix it next to the current depth gauge for dual readings...

It's used in Kyber crystal mining operations.  [big grin]
