type of MDF used for MFT

Hi all,

I am on my way to putting together a larger MFT for a new shop. Just wondering what the spec is for the MFT material? What is the best material spec that I can order or get from a lumber supplier, here in Western Canada? Thanks for the input on CNC sources near Vancouver!

I suggest Plum Creek's Glacier Green, West Frasier's Rangerboard, or Sierra Pine's Medite 3D.  All are very high quality, uniform density products with excellent machining characteristics.

The MFT top is HDF, not MDF.  One Canadian HDF product is Uniboard.  More info here:  http://uniboard.com/hdf,1

Just in case there is someone in Western Canada who wants to build an MFT, the supplier I found for HDF is PJ White Hardwoods.
